The dedicated writing tools are being squeezed by chatbots, so only pay for one if you need what chatbots don't do: brand voice persistence and repeatable workflows (Jasper or Copy.ai). Otherwise ChatGPT Plus + Grammarly covers 90% of writers for ~$32/mo. And don't pay $49 a month for a template wrapper over a model you can chat with for $20 — that arbitrage died in 2025.
